Week 5 is over in College Football, and trust me, it was a rough one. Going 1-7 on bets is never a good thing, but that means that this week is more likely to go better than worse, if I can just win 2 fucking games I already improved. There’s a few highlight games this weekend but I’m also looking at a few intriguing Group of 5 matchups. Let’s make some money this weekend Auburn(-2.5) @ Florida While this looks like a good matchup in the rankings, I don’t see Florida as the 10th best team in the country. The Gators have blown out 3 bad teams and played close with a couple mediocre teams. I like Bo Nix to score some points and that Auburn defensive line to wreak havoc on the Florida offense that ranks 88th in rushing YPG and 51st in sacks allowed Pick: AUB -2.5 Rice @ UAB(-9.5) Rice comes in to the game 0-5 while UAB has a record of 3-1. However, the competition the two teams have played is vastly different. Rice has losses to three Power 5 teams, including losing 21-13 to the undefeated Baylor squad. UAB’s best win might be against FCS opponent Alabama State, as their other two wins are against Akron (who may have replaced UMass as the worst team in the country) and the University of Southern Alabama. Neither team scores a lot of points which in a larger spread like this I think goes well for Rice Pick: Rice +9.5 Iowa @ Michigan (O/U 47.5) Although Iowa is +3.5 and I think they have a shot to win the game, the bet I think will be interesting is the over/under. Both teams have respectable defenses, and Iowa’s poor man’s Wisconsin-style offense shouldn’t produce a lot of points. Pick: Under 47.5 Boise St(-22) @ UNLV Boise comes in to this game undefeated and hoping to be the G5 team to make a New Year’s Six bowl this year. I think Hank Bachmeier has a lot of promise to keep Boise St. high in the rankings over the next  4 years, and I don’t see UNLV being able to slow the offense down. Pick: Boise St. -22 Tulsa @ SMU(-13) SMU comes in to this game off to a 5-0 start and being ranked for the first time since 1986. With a defense that’s leading the nation in sacks (25) and led on offense by Texas transfer Shane Buechele (who was benched in favor of Sam Ehlinger) I think SMU wins this one easily to become bowl eligible just halfway through the season. Pick: SMU -13

I am not responsible if these bets flop and you lose all your money

Just kidding, I only produce winners
