I'd like to formally apologize to the cities of Miami, Boston, Philadelphia, Toronto, and Brooklyn for the unfortunate news that broke just an hour ago. Your eastern conference hopes for the next five years just vanished into thin air. I would also like to apologize to both Los Angeles teams, the Warriors, and any other team that even thought that they had a chance to sign Giannis Antetokounmpo this coming off-season.

BECAUSE GIANNIS JUST SIGNED A 5 YEAR/ $228 MILLION EXTENSION WITH THE MILWAUKEE BUCKS.

We can finally put Giannis rumors to bed, and I couldn't be happier. No more hypothetical questions. No more stupid photoshop jersey swaps of Giannis on my instagram explore page. No more questioning Giannis' loyalty to a small market. Giannis said fuck a big market, I'm stayin' home.

$45.6 Million over the next 5 years is absolutely ridiculous when you think about it, but completely justified when thinking about how absolutely ridiculous the Greek Freak is at basketball.

Now all we have to do is surround Giannis with a true star point guard (oh wait, we already did that) and Milwaukee is on it's way to win an NBA championship. This Milwaukee team is so fucking scary. The Bucks' starting 5 is legitimately better than any in the league: Jrue/Donte/Khris/Giannis/Brook, and as long as we don't have to play in a bubble again, I'd bet your house on the Bucks to win the finals THIS YEAR.

Lastly, let's touch on this small market state of Wisconsin. All i've heard my entire life is that star players don't want to play in small markets, and especially small markets in Wisconsin. But let me remind you: Aaron Rodgers has been a Packer up there in 'tiny' Green Bay for 16 seasons, and likely 3-4 more, Christian Yelich signed a 7 year extension through 2028, and Giannis is here for at least another 5 years. Fuck your small market narrative.
